Two problems related to fuel injection have been reported for the 1999 Toyota Corolla. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1999 Toyota Corolla. Vehicle wasn't moving well, it was sluggish. The mechanic said the fuel injection system was clogged. A different mechanic agreed, and said the 1999 model should be using only high-test gasoline. But the owner's manual on page 129 said the gasoline must be rating 87 which was regular gas. Replaced the fuel injection system for $352. 79. Toyota claim #200509220912. Updated 11/2/2005.
The consumer stated that Ford is aware of the defect with this vehicle/model fuel injections. Scc.
