Tl- the contact owns a 2000 Toyota Corolla. The contact received a notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v286000(air bags) however, the recall part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced the failure. This is a second failure in the same car but different location. Please refer to odi#749682 thankyou. No safety defect.
Takata recall: I did not receive a recall notice about my airbags and I'm trying to find out if my car was ever recalled for defective airbags. Toyota will only tell me if the car is under a recall presently. If it ever was, the notice might have been sent to the previous owner that I bought the car from in 2001. If there ever was a recall on the airbags, doesn't Toyota still need to replace them??.
