Early a. M. Went to car noticed tire completely flat due to 'cracked/defective' valve stem. Had purchased 4 new tires 2/8/07 from sam's club. They replaced valve stem but did not mention anything about a recall and did not check other valve stems for defects. I was not aware of recall until hearing it on the news this week. Now concerned about other tires and if the 'new replacement valve is safe.
The contact owns a 2002 Toyota Corolla. The vehicle has four michelin tires, size p185/65s14 (na). In may of 2008, while driving 55 mph in a parking lot, the contact discovered a flat tire on her vehicle. The tire store stated that the valve stem was the cause of the failure and made the replacement .
