Took my car to have airbag replace twice in September 2018 and was told on national back order. Then February 2019 was told they had airbag went twice was told they had it when I first walked in and sat there for three hours for them to tell me that they didn't have it and didn't know when. Got a phone call from them telling me they may or may not have it in the middle of March but sure they wouldn't I asked about the buy back and about the Toyota lemon law I keep getting the run around and I'm tried of it this is my only way of going I have put off dr appt in northport al due with the fact I don't feel safe driving it and also was told not to drive it.
Iit sounds boom boom boom boom, in motion on any road.
Rent a wreck rockville in rockville, maryland rented me a care with 2 open recalls. It was a fight to get them to pick the car up and refund me - which they still have not fully. The car also has structural problems. Water pours through the roof onto the driver when it rains. It is not dripping; it is pouring water and it is an obstruction to the driver. I have gone back and worth with these people, but they do not care about federal or state law. This car needs to be repossessed and be taken off the roads and this rent a wreck locations needs to be made aware that their business tactics cannot proceed. I have a bunch of documentation from this ordeal. All I want is to make sure rent a wreck rockville does not have this car on the road or similar cars and to get refunded for all of the extra costs they have caused me. This franchised location is part of the larger problem. Also, I have been requesting to speak to someone at their corporate offices, but have been refused that information for over a month. Please follow up with me over this. Thank you in advance. Samantha schram.
I brought my car to Toyota due to a recall (sra, ecu). After Toyota performed work the seat belt audible alarm does not function and is therefore dangerous. Toyota could not find problem after spending six hours. Driving without functioning seat belt alarm is dangerous. I have copies of Toyota dealer work orders. Dealer will not fix problem they caused by installing the recall. . Toyota USA refuses to fix it. I would not ever have a recall by manufactuer done again. Too dangerous. ## VIN passed ## Toyota carolla 2004 ##.
My Toyota Corolla le (car) completely loses power and shuts down randomly. It has happened on numerous occasions. During one occasion it shut down while on the highway. This incident almost cost me my life as well as two of my children (who are adults). It completely shut down in the middle of a lot of traffic causing a semi truck to miss us by inches. This has also happened on numerous occasions on streets and in parking lots. The car is always in motion when this occurs. I have had the car's engine tested (the business that tested it is now out of business). The test revealed that it was a coil pack that was causing the problem. I had the coil pack replaced but it did not fix the problem. At this point it is still unknown why my vehicle shuts down randomly. Below it asks for a date when this occurs. As stated above, it has happened so many times that I can't recall those dates, so I put in an approximate date that the incident on the highway occurred. The miles on the car is what I have on it at this time (149,542).
"takata recall" I keep receiving recall notices, but when I call the dealership, they act like they don't know what I am talking about and when I call the 1800 number they act like everything is taken care of. Then the dealership calls and they don't know what is going on again. I have given up on the safety recall for the time being. I hope that as time passes the system will get smoothed out where this can actually get fixed, maybe. It does not seem that fixing the airbag issues are a serious priority in person, only on paper.
I took my car to the dealership king automall in mason, OH for an airbag recall and the dealership had my car up on the lift rusting the entire exhaust system off of my car along with a few others vehicles. When I asked the dealership why was they under my car the dealership replied that it was someone's else car. I explained to the dealer that it was my car because it had my license plate. The same day my entire exhaust system broke apart due to being rusted out. I inspected my exhaust right before I took my car to the dealership and it was in good shape. Please have tis investigated and stopped.
Most important: we do not drive the car now. Unable to get answers to possible solutions. Called Toyota they said they cannot assist if the problem is not happening when they get the car. This problem is intermittent at best. I asked if they had problems such as mine below and can give me some idea and they said they cannot assist me without having the problem occur while they have the car. We cannot drive the car for it may shut down on us. Latest problem: the vehicles engine shut down while driving 30 mph. Tried to restart the vehicle and everything comes on as if it was going to start up (meaning: the problem is not battery), but would not crank over, no noise, nothing. After playing with the fuses, and waiting a bit the car was able to crank over and start. A week before the latest (above): the car was in park and running, the engine shut down, tried starting the car and same scenario as above, we let the car rest overnight and the next morning it started up. (we didn't do anything to the car). Years ago: the same thing as above except, I went to go use the car, it would not start, had noise and lights but no cranking of engine, nothing (same scenario as above). But, after letting time go by the car would start. (I changed the key to a backup key I had and it started up. ) others have this problem as we have tried to find out what the problem is, we came across the same scenarios but no solution.
I was on the highway 605 freeway in California on December 24,2014 at am . I was driving 60mph and suddenly felt a very strong shake in my car that continued for about two minutes and then I suddenly went from 60mph to 15 mph . I was really scared and concerned about this matter. If I didn't have control I would have gotten cars behind me or myself in a major accident due to this malfunction. I was very shaken up and stressed. I have never been this scared in my vehicle. I drove my car in search for an open mechanic and found one he did a full inspection which was very stressful due to the fact that it was a christmas eve . I really have been a loyal customer to Toyota my whole family and I really would like this to get taken care of. I don't see the need for me to spend more money when its a Toyota problem.
Adult son was driving car on freeway when sunroof/moonroof just blew off. Hit two cars causing windshield and minor body scratching. Brought car into Toyota dealership that next week. Was told 1) sunroof was an after market add on, 2) glue holding sunroof to frame had let go and 3) not a Toyota problem. Contacted original dealership where car purchased new. Was told they would not help as sunroof was aftermarket and there was no existing warranty. I bought the car new and paid Toyota. Car came with the sunroof which Toyota dealership had contracted out for installation. Was given the name of the installer and they readily agreed to pay for the re-installation of a new sunroof.
