1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 07/14/2017

Takata airbags/ while the car was in motion slowly turning into a parking space, the airbags deployed. The airbags impeded the driver from controlling the car and caused a crash into a building. This happened on a private parking lot. The car had recently been serviced for the takata recall. Nothing was struck to engage the impact sensors. The road and parking lot was free from obstacles. We want to know if non compliant service for the airbag recall created a failure which caused the airbags to deploy. We are having the car inspected by Toyota and want to know if an impartial inspector can be present to oversee the procedure.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

The contact owns a 2004 Toyota Corolla. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number 13v133000(air bags). The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the repairs were completed however, the air bag sensor light was illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. There were no further repairs made to the vehicle. The failure mileage was 156,000.

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2013

Toyota issued out a recall on my vehicle. The recall was on 03-04 Corolla's and the issue is that the airbag could depoly at any moment or in the event of an accident it would not deploy. They fixed the the computer, sensor assy, the airbag it self and the harness. However, they would not replace a cable(knowing that this part was a faulty part) since they said it wasnt part of the recall. Now with this cable its called spiral cable, the reason why it needs to be replaced as well because it could send the wrong signal and still deploy my airbag with out being in an accident or not depoly in the event of an accident. To me they didnt fix the issue. Toyota advise me over phone that my vehical was outside their warranty they said that they wont be able to replace that part and its up to me as the customer to pay for it out of pocket. What makes me upset is that Toyota knows this part was faulty and should be part of the recall but yet they fail to include it in the recall. What happens, if im driving and the cable sends the wrong signal and the airbag deploys. I could hurt myself, my passagers and other drivers. The damage could be high since theyre many drivers that drive Corollas. I belive you need to act on this since it could hurt drivers, which can cause insurance rates to increase which can cause drivers to drive less in return hurting the economy.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2003

The air bag light appeared on the dashboard until the vehicle was turned off. The driver had taken the vehicle to the dealer for an analysis and the mechanic noticed that the air bag module needed replacement. The brakes had been replaced 5 times. The brakes screeched, banged and pulled when they were applied.
