The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Corolla. While driving 25 mph, the front driver's side tire and rim completely separated from the vehicle. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it spun out of control. The rim was made of aluminum alloy and one of the spokes failed, which caused a chain reaction with the rest of the spokes. As a result, the tire collapsed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but they stated that they did not want to be responsible without even looking at the vehicle. The vehicle has not yet been repaired. The contact believes that the repair should be the manufacturer's responsibility and that a recall should be issued. The VIN was unknown.
