1 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 03/12/2025

On March 12, 2025, I was involved in a frontal collision when another vehicle unexpectedly pulled out in front of me. Impact occurred to the front-left area of my vehicle. Despite the nature of the collision, the front airbags did not deploy. The vehicle is subject to safety recall 20ta03, which addresses incomplete or non-deployment of airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners due to ecu susceptibility to electrical noise in certain crash scenarios. The vehicle was declared a total loss by my insurance company and is no longer available for inspection. The manufacturer was notified in may 2025 and again in November 2025. The manufacturer closed the case citing inability to inspect the vehicle and later relied on photographs only to rule out airbag deployment concerns. No warning lights or messages related to the airbag system were observed prior to the collision. The non-deployment of the airbags placed my safety at risk during a frontal impact.

3 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2024

I was in a car accident . A woman failed to yield at a stop sign and rammed into the front of my car at a high accelerated speed. I was restrained but the right side of my forehead hit the rearview mirror . Causing two huge knots on my head. My eye glasses also smashed into my right eye and I had a cut above my eye . I was thrown to the right passenger seat area , my right hip hit the gear shift and my knees and hip , were bruised. Apparently the seatbelt failed as well , but my main complaint is that the airbags failed to deploy. I suffered damage strain and bruising to both hands, the left was worse , I was made to wear a brace . I was taken to the er via ambulance . One of the officers assumed I wasn’t wearing a seatbelt , which was not true at all . He thought I hit the windshield but I did not , it was the mirror . I have proof , photos and all emt and er records report that I was restrained . A paramedic helped me remove the seatbelt to exit my car . I feel I wouldn't have suffered the head, eye and other injuries if the airbag had deployed.

My daughter was driving a 2014 Corolla with just over 100k miles and t-boned a truck that pulled out in front of her. She was doing 30 mph when she hit the truck and the airbags did not deploy. Unknown damage cost due to it is still under investigation by the opposing insurance company. Lucky, my daughter was not seriously hurt. 33 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 11/10/2015

The Corolla moving at about 35 mph on a 3 lane road hit another car that was stopped at a yellow blinking light in the rear, the Corolla's impact was on the left front side first so on a slight angle to the rear of the stopped car so it did not hit squarely. The seat belt did not function and the female driver of the Corolla hit her head on the window and her right knee hit the under dash, her weight is about 110 lbs. And small body frame. The air bags also did not function there is around $9000 damage to the car so this was not just a small collision. I have attached a pdf file with photos.

34 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2015

As I was dirving around a curved street, my steering wheel locks on me. I could not swerve and turn my car to follow the curved street. I could not move the wheel at all. My car ran into a tree head first. All the airbags deployed and smoke appeared. My entire car was totaled and smashed in the front. Scariest thing because I had no control. Thank god, my 1 year old son was not in the backseat or else he would have been fatllay injured with those airbags. I need to know what can be done. Toyota has had recalls in the past and this could have ended my life.

35 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/02/2015

Driving my new first lease a small Corolla and turning right into work. . . A third row big old SUV doing at least 35 mph or faster rear ended me and pushed my little car into a big decorative boulder and almost pinned me so I couldn't wiggle my way out of the window. Not one airbag went off and it was not a minor or slow impact. Weeks later I unfortunately gently tapped a parked van making a turn for a stop signal and every single airbag (ones I didn't even know were in the car) went off and the insurance company deemed it a total loss. I was lucky to not have been injured in the first accident, however, I feel there was a malfunction with the deployment of the airbags and I could have been. Toyota also came after me for $1,700+ dollars as the lease was only 7 months in and I didn't even pay the taxes I guess. Then my insurance went up so I was forced to change jobs and walk to work to make ends meat and pay rent. I wish my story was read by someone making lots of money who thinks what happened wasn't right and Toyota should help a young man just starting out with a new wife but I'm sure they are too busy golfing or at some important meeting at a resort! hope they are ashamed of cases like mine. 716-291-2914 ryan sugg if anyone has the balls to apologize or do something.
