After having my vehicle washed at a car wash, paint began to peel. The vehicle at the time had only 42000 miles. Toyota repair apologized for the paint problem (v70 white) and said they would provide me with a car rental for 1-2 weeks while its repainted as there is a recall for the paint (again apologised for the inconvience). After discovering the recall expired, the insurance technician said he would call me back in 1-2 days as the vehicle is no longer under the recall (does the paint repair itself after that time period)? the technician never called me back. The cost to repaint the vehicle is 7-$14000, more than the value of the vehicle with only 4 years worth of miles driven.
White paint and clear coat is peeling off vehicle in large sections. It started around the windows and door frames but now almost half the vehicle is missing the paint. I was told by a local mechanic that Toyota had a recall but when I went to meridian Toyota, they said the recall was for 10 years from the manufacturer date which was 10/13. This is a 2014 vehicle so we didn’t purchase it until 2014. I went at the end of 2024 and they refused to help with it since it was manufacturers date and not 10 years from the year of vehicle. The vehicle is now starting to rust due to a known problem from Toyota which they refuse to fix. My family has had 7 Toyota vehicles which we love but I am extremely disappointed that you won’t fix this problem which is in no way our fault. The paint in the pictures attached has actually gotten worse in the past few months. Please help resolve this situation.
We was on highway and a buck jumped out , my passenger was freaked out knowing no air bags deployed. I was escorted home by police and contacted Toyota ,they sent a john espinoza to come take my sensors off the car and never contacted me again, told me to sign into Toyota page and they'd get back to me. Now my car just sits smashed in garage, it was in great shape before and I was gonna trade it in.
Collided at 60+ mph on 190 by diesel large truck major front and side damage and no airbag deployment of any kind. His truck was fine and none of my side nor frontal airbags went off. My head slammed into the driver's window and my neck and back are really hurting. This happened just a couple days ago.
I was driving down a secluded street at about 20mph when I heard a loyd explosion on my right side of my car. My passenger side mirror had exploded. The mirror itself was shattered and hanging down, the back panel was found in some bushes on the side of the street. I was driving up the street so cars were on my left. There was no one walking past, nor were there any bicycles or anything on the side of the road that could cause such damage. It was very frightening. I spent almost 30minutes walking up and down the street trying to figure out what could have happened and nothing made sense. The mirror did not turn in, as would happen if I had hit something. There is a black mark on my car door from the glass piece slamming into it from the explosion.
In March 1 2019 at 840 pm I was driving my Toyota Corolla 2014 heading south on arch street in pittsford vermont. I drove down the road went over a little hill and as I came over the tiny hill in my vision I saw a driving car coming towards me in there appropriate lane, with there headlights on, then I saw a parked car blocking 70 percent of my lane. I had no choice but to hit the parked car. When I hit the car my air bags did not deploy. I don't remember anything after my face hit the steering wheel. My air bags did not deploy! I have broken bones in my face and can't see clearly out of my right eye. I've gone to a eye MD who is a retina specialist and she says I'm not going to be able to see out of my right eye. I do have a lawyer but I believe if I would have known about this defect than I would have had this fixed and would have had the proper deploy of the air bag which then I would not be losing my site. I was going 35 mph.
The maintenance light stays on and won't reset after the 15000 mile oil change. After 16000 miles the horn stopped working. At 16900 miles on 08/07/2018 the driver airbag light came on and stayed on, and the steering wheel cover where the airbag is is loose. The brakes and alignment have been checked and are good, but sometimes the wheels lock and the car doesn't brake well, as if the antilock system stopped working.
Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Toyota corrola. The contact stated that the head rest is tipped forward. The top of the carseat forces drivers and front seat passenger to sit in a forward position. The back is unable to lay on the base of the seat as this causes back pain. The contact then took the vehicle to madison Toyota at 363 s. Kings highway. St louis mo 63109 where they were informed that the head rest could not be fixed. The manufacturer was notified. Jw.
2014 Toyota Corolla sunroof exploded, while driving on hwy 95 about 40-45 mph, sounded like a gunshot lucky we had the cover of the sunroof closed, thought it could have been a rock but there were no cars in front of us, got home and found hole in the sunroof, glass was raised as if something came from the inside out.
I was parked in the underground parking at the north west corner of amherst Ave and santa monica blvd in los angeles. I was exiting driving up the very narrow exit ramp. 1. The one way exit to the lot curves and is very narrow. As I navigated the narrow exit, I felt that I was almost touching the wall on the right side. 2. I applied the brakes and put the car in reverse in order to get away from the wall. However, the brakes did not respond and the car rolled backwards around the bend, hitting the wall behind me. The car came to a complete stop. 3. Applying the brakes had no impact on the car neither decelerating nor accelerating. This shows that the brakes definitely did not work. 4. With my foot on the brakes, I put the car in drive. At no time did I press the accelerator pedal. I would have heard the engine. The instant I shifted to drive, the car lunged forward at a very high rate of speed. Consequentially, my car zoomed up the driveway into the ground level parking facing west. Within a second or so, my car collided with another car, parked facing west in front of pizza hut. Due to the force of the impact at such a high rate of speed, the parked Hyundai superseded the concrete parking barrier crashing into pizza hut, shattering the store front window. 5. My car was thankfully stopped due to impact with the Hyundai on the right side of my vehicle and a low wall on the left side.
Sunroof exploded.

As I was dirving around a curved street, my steering wheel locks on me. I could not swerve and turn my car to follow the curved street. I could not move the wheel at all. My car ran into a tree head first. All the airbags deployed and smoke appeared. My entire car was totaled and smashed in the front. Scariest thing because I had no control. Thank god, my 1 year old son was not in the backseat or else he would have been fatllay injured with those airbags. I need to know what can be done. Toyota has had recalls in the past and this could have ended my life.
This am I hit a deer on the way to work head on at 65-67 mph and not one air bag deployed!!! the entire front end crumpled to the windshield area and the radiator and parts torn lose to the top of engine and not one air bag deployed. Everyone at the wreck could not believe it and now I am terrified of the car if direct contact at that speed does not open the safety equipment what will? this car is not safe.
I was making a right turn pulling into a parking space in a shopping mall. I was approximately 1/2 to 3/4 of the way in when the vehicle took off and went into a tree and then a wall. I would guess the vehicle traveled approximately 40 feet after the sudden and unintended acceleration. This definitely was sudden and unintended acceleration. The front end of the vehicle was damaged by the tree and the wall the air bag did not deploy.
As I was driving through the rain storm at night, I noticed my windshield wiper motor stop working. The next morning I found there is a flaw of design where the fluid delivery system is below the engine hood which is a completely and utterly moronic. I found out damaged/dent hood caused it to improperly malfunction.
I put the car in reverse to park. Suddenly, the car jumped into drive, went forward and hit a parked car.
I was driving in a normal local road condition in a Sunday afternoon. I was aware a 6" crack on the drive-side windshield. It started from the edge. Next morning when I drove to work, it grew to about 2' long. It scared me and I took immediately action and fixed it next day (Tuesday).
Moisture and mold inside car for no reason. The car has seen no spillage and no opened windows during rain yet the interior is always fogged up since the week it was purchased and the car traps moisture and causes mold in the vents on the floor inside the doorway.
When I pull my car into a parking spot with a cement parking bump stopper, the car hangs up on it causing some scratches on the underside- Toyota has said there is no design flaw but I disagree. If I do not pull in all the way, I risk someone hitting the back of the car because I will be sticking out too far. A second problem is the ac. I live in florida and when I get into the car it is often over 100 degrees. . I have to drive for a few minutes with hot air blowing on me before the cool air kicks in. This makes me sweat and very uncomfortable. Toyota says that is just the design of the car. I never had that problem with my two rav4's. I am also wondering if a have the airbags that are recalled. No notice yet.

Well I just buy a Toyota Corolla 2014 on 10/14/2013 and the windshield just crack the car was on my drive way the car was park and when I was living my place and I got in to my car I saw a crack on the windshield so im thinking who did the happen from no where so I went on line I google I found all this complains about Toyota windshield cracking for no reason . I call the dealer and told them what happen and ask them about the price and the windshield its 900 and the installation is 300 . So think the windshield is a very poor quality because if its just not my car and the windshield cracks over and over some thing it's wrong with the material and its not safe at and what's I think they should make the windshield more safe. Can you please fin this .
