1 Fuel Pump problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2023

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph the vehicle suddenly stalled. The vehicle was later towed a local service center who diagnosed that the fuel pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer was not contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

2 Fuel Pump problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2022

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled upon depression of the accelerator pedal with the trac off and check engine warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was initially taken to an independent mechanic for a tune up; however, the failure persisted. The contact then discovered that his vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 20v012000 (fuel system, gasoline) and the vehicle was serviced by the dealer. After the recall repair was completed, the vehicle was driven to a gas station and the vehicle failed to restart with the previous warning lights being illuminated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.
