Toyota recalled most Toyota vehicles my car was one of them at the beginning of the year my vehicle sat at an all stat Toyota in baton rouge, la 70815 for over 3 to 4 months while I drove a rental by the company itself. When I received the vehicle back I was told all of the defects were completed and my car should be running perfect. Immediacy within that week my car was still stalling I have two small children, I immediacy told the service manager, he drove my vehicle around the block and determined nothing was wrong on his end and didn't offer me any other remedy. Not only do I not think this is right the negligence in Toyota of the safety of their customers is beyond me, again I have two small children til this day my vehicle stalls at certain points especially going through oncoming traffic. How am I supposed to drive this car and I'm putting myself and my children's life in danger. And if we die because of this defect Toyota will continue to make millions off of their negligence.
The problem that I'm having is that at times such as when at a stop sign or u turns and mainly when I need to cross a lane in a speedy way the vehicle looses power, if I need to cross a street and I give it gas the vehicle will start moving but only at a very low speed, a few times if it wasn't for the other vehicles stopping or slowing down I would have gotten hit, when this is happening I give it all the gas but it still doesn't go any faster it takes between 5 and 10 seconds before it finally picks speed, just last week I got cursed at because another driver assumed I was slowing down in front of his vehicle on purpose. This does not happen all the time maybe 2 or 3 times a week but it is very scary when it happens because once the vehicle starts to move it's too late to put it on reverse. Over the past year I have taking this to two different dealers and none were able to find a fault. Please help before myself, my wife or my son gets kill.
In more than one time will coming to the free way when I have press the gas pedal the car will give a slight misfire and just not want to go releasing the gas pedal and pressing again then it will take off. Now with the steering every once in a while the steering wheel will actually pull to the left with force if I am driving one handed it will slip of my hand.
I have been losing power on my 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback since I purchased this new vehicle I have taken it to the dealer many times and they have been unable to fix it, lately in the past 6 months I have been getting a sign that only stays on for a few seconds when I lose power and I have been unable to read it so I purchased a dash camera and I mounted it in front of the vehicle screen and today I was able to capture and it said accelerator and brake pedals pressed simultaneously. This is incorrect I only drive with one foot; I know my vehicle is now out of warranty but I have had this same problem since I purchased the vehicle. Please help I have written to Toyota many times for the same problem this time I have proof of what it is doing and I am 100 percent sure I am not driving with 2 feet, this is a safety incident since the vehicle looses power.

I received a letter from Toyota stating that there is a problem with the cvt and that it could fail. Under certain conditions it could cause the vehicle to lose power, especially at higher speeds. I have contacted them and there is no resolution as yet. I feel extremely unsafe driving this vehicle, I was told it would be addressed when I took the car in for the 5000 mile service but I was given erroneous information. I don't think I should have to wait for something to happen in order to resolve this issue. If a remedy is not available then I should be afforded a loner until such time when Toyota comes up with a fix.
There is a known safety recall affecting the transmission of this car such that it could lose motive power without warning. It was discovered on 12/19/18. After driving the car for weeks, I discovered the recall online, and ended up in a loaner. I was told by the Toyota customer experience center that the car was a safety hazard, and I could not be allowed to drive the vehicle. I have been in a loaner since 1/11/19 and calling regularly, but I still do not have a date for the end of this. They have clearly not been timely in getting out the new transmissions for the 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchbacks despite preparing and releasing on time an entire line of 2020 Toyota Corollas.
