Failure Date: 01/18/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2020 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while driving and making turns, a noise was coming from the steering. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and was diagnosed that the cable assembly and the column sub-assi, ele, bolt, steering lock failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated after leaving the dealer and while driving the steering wheel was pulling to the left. The contact stated that he was able to control the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer a second time and was diagnosed that a noise coming from serial cable - check and advise steering miscellaneous. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the steering wheel pulling to the right. The vehicle remained at the dealer. The technician called the contact and informed him that an alignment to the steering and miscellaneous was completed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000. Aw.
