Exterior headlight design is a big safety issue when driving at night. The low beams do not offer enough lighting when going around turns or hills. Even on flat roads it is not enough and very dangerous. The high beams help but are also not providing the visibility needed at night . When raining and using low beams at night it’s like driving in the dark! please redesign!.
Wipers stopped working during rainy event resulting in low visibility conditions.
When driving during daylight its nearly impossible to see what speed my vehicle is driving due to extreme glare.
I was driving on expressway to sharonville, OH on Wednesday, oct 5 2023 and it started to rain so I tried to put on my wipers and they did not work. I tried to see if they were stuck and by cleaning them but still did not work. I could not see that well, luckily I had rain x on the front windshield so the rain would wash off. I called Toyota in sharonville area and they told me to bring it in the next morning. I went to the park and then started the wipers and they started back up again. Toyota in sharonville told me they could do anything unless they saw it not working. This has happen before a couple of times and I reported to elizabethtown, ky where I get my free maintenance for 2 years. They told me the same thing there that they could not do anything unless they saw them not working. I looked it up on a website and it showed they can do a non functional diagnostic/repair which would test the switch, relay and wiring to see if they are working properly. This is a safety problem which could have caused me an accident without visibility to see where I am going. I have about 2 years left on my bumper to bumper warranty and would like this problem fixed.
Low beam illumination is not sufficient. Attached picture shows someone holding a measuring tape disappears completely in the dark around 76 feet from the car.
Soon after purchasing my car, there was a chip and crack in the windshield that had no known cause or occurred when it was not being driven. A couple months after that, there was a rock thrown up getting onto the highway that should not have broken the glass because it did not hit hard enough to typically break the glass and I also have a glass protectant on my windows. I fear there may be a defect in the glass used for the 2021/2022 Toyota Corollas because my friend with the same car, but year 2021 complained of the same problem. It should be investigated. Now I have to replace a windshield and pay a deductible because it is not covered under the extra services that I purchased for dints and dings.
