We have used our sunshine kids radian 80sl carseat since December. It was pointed out to me that our superlatch system may be defective. I went and looked at our seat and sure enough our carseat has a superlatch issue. The tightening belt on the superlatch can be loosened at the press of my pinky. This loosens the seat which is connected by the latch. I am in the process of getting the issue corrected. (related vehicle information: model year=2009, make=corolla, model=Toyota ).

I own a sunshine kids radian xtsl which was installed rfing in our 2005 Toyota Corolla using the "super latch" latch strap which is supposedly able to be used until my child reaches 80 lbs (the maximum weight limit of the seat). Due to the way the buckle on the strap is, when my son's foot hit the buckle part of the latch strap, it loosened to the point I could move the seat several inches at the belt path. I reinstalled with the seatbelt to avoid this from happening again, but that is kind of annoying being that one reason I bought this seat was for the "super latch" feature. I just feel it is not safe to continue using the latch since my son can so easily touch it with his foot. (related vehicle information: model year=2005, make=corolla, model=Toyota).

Regular use of the graco snugride 32 and base in 2007 Corolla. The carseat will flip sideways but remain installed in the base. It happens several times a month now that the baby is 17 lbs it can occur on a short trip, less that 10 minutes in the car. There have not been any serious consequences as a result of the flipping. The carseat base is reinstalled weekly at minimum in attempt to decrease the frequency that the car seat flips. Manufacturer was contacted. Their recommendation was "if the car seat is not fitting safe in the middle seat, then you would want to use one of the side seats with the latch system. " Toyota recommends the carseat be installed in the center seat however.

I have never experienced a problem installing and properly securing car seats in automobiles. However, since I purchased this car, the dealership, myself nor my family members are able to get a car seat installed in the vehicle properly after following the installation directions of both the car seat and the vehicle. Any of the seat belts will not secure a car seat. We even bought a new car seat to see if that was the problem. Once the seat belt is as tight as it could possibly ever be, you can still lift the car seat off of the seat by about 12 inches and the car seat does not feel as though it is even hooked into the seat belt. I stopped by the dealer where I purchased the automobile about 2 weeks ago, and they couldn't get the car seat secured either. If the car seat can't be secured properly, how is it that a person is safe with the seat belt? is this a problem with the new Corolla's? my daughter has a 1995 Toyota Corolla and the car seats in her vehicle can't be budged! is this a defect with my car only? I feel that this is a very serious situation. How do I know that my family is safe in this car and that the safety restraints are working correctly? please investigate this matter as soon as possible. I am concerned for my family and my own safety. Thank you for your time.
Century child safety seat won't fit right in the car and latch release belt is too long, and the car seat isn't fitting right in the rear of the vehicle.
