Vehicle was involved in a rear end collsion when brakes failed. Consumer stated when he attempted to apply the brakes they did not hold, and consequently rear ended another motorist.

Failure Date: 05/05/2002

Consumer started the vehicle and put it in reverse to back out. He applied brakes and the brake failed to stop. The vehicle rolled backward into wooded ditch. Also, consumer stated there was a vibration and hissing noise, one person was injured in the accident.

Mi 16-year-old daughter gabriela was driwing and the brakes do not respond crashing at 30mph.

4 Brake Foundation Components problem

Failure Date: 05/24/2001

Received recall notice 00v256000 7 months ago. Took vehicle to dealership for repairs. Informed by mechanic that pcv port was already repaired. Afterwards, received letter from manufacturer that brakes were not repaired. Contacted dealer again, and was informed had no parts available, but will order parts or locate parts to do repairs of pcv port.

5 Brake Foundation Components problem

Failure Date: 03/26/2001

Consumer attempted to brake at stop light, brakes failed. Consumer used emergency brake to slow vehicle down, but still hit vehicle in front of her.

6 Brake Foundation Components problem

Failure Date: 03/03/2000

The brakes pulsates, dealer resurfaced the front rotors and installed new brake pads, due to rotors being warped.
