The vtt - I oil line leaks oil may burst.
We are the original owners of this car. We have changed the oil and oil filter as required by Toyota. Never had a problem until the last few months. All of a sudden we are going through multiple quarts of oil between oil changes. We never had to add oil previously. Searching online I see this is a known problem. I also read that Toyota won't fix it. Wanted to add my name to the list of complaints in the hope that Toyota will be forced to fix this issue.
During driving, abruptly without warning - the Highlander hybrid during driving, without warning, just went dead - car did not respond to driver control. The dashboard started flashing lights and the vsc check, awd check, skid light, brake lights came on. The car, and power steering stopped responding to control. Upon contacting the dealers, everyone has given us a different reason, some don't even make sense.
My 2007 Toyota higlander was diagnosed with engine sludge even though the oil has been changed at the recommended service intervals.
