The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser. While driving downhill at approximately 35 mph, the abs, check engine, and brake indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the brakes failed when applied. The contact immediately pulled the emergency brake and was able to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the entire brake actuator needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 135,000.
Brakes failed completely. Diagnosis was abs pump and corresponding computer.
