The paint on the car's hood is chipping and the paint on the car's hood, roof, and back hatch is fading to white and becoming rough to the touch, as if a coating is coming off.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Matrix. The contact stated that the molding around the driver's side door frame slowly became detached from the vehicle, leaving the jagged metal clips exposed. The vehicle was taking to the dealer twice for the molding to be re attached however, the failure continued to recur. The contact was informed by the dealer that he needed to adjust how he entered the vehicle and that the only thing that could be done was to just re-attach the molding whenever it came undone. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 1 and the current mileage was 12,050.
