Fuel Delivery problems of the 2004 Toyota Prius

Dt:two weeks ago, the consumer was driving her 2004 Toyota Prius at 50 mph and it died. Luckily it was not during rush hour traffic and occurred near an exit ramp. The consumer was able to maneuver to an exit ramp where she coasted downhill into an off street. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and they have had it for 2 weeks now and they stated the inverter that ties the hybrid to the gas system was the problem. The consumer feel this is a design flaw and feels that she should have been notified by Toyota of this problem.
