One problem related to tire blowout has been reported for the 2007 Toyota Prius. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driving passenger vehicle at approximately 60 mph on a tollroad. Normal clear daylight conditions at about 80 degrees. There was a load noise, then smoke and loss of vehicle stability. Passenger side rear tire had a blowout. Approximately one half of the tire in the side wall area was torn apart. Tire was replaced.
