Electronic Stability Control problem #1

My car has stopped running with all warning lights and hybrid system failure warning three times now. First time I was driving when lights came on but got to parking lot where it died. I was able to restart car after a couple of hours, still all warning lights and hybrid warning showing but was able to get it to dealership. Second time I was driving on small road and was able to get car to side of road. Again it started after a couple hours with all warnings lit and I was able to drive to dealership were it also died again but they started it later by resetting codes. Third time it stopped in driveway and I was unable to start it. Had it towed to dealership. First time. 12v battery was replaced and software update performed. Second two times ira Toyota dealership has sent me back out on the road to wait and see if it happens again.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

Attempting to travel in my 2013 Prius five during xmas was driving and approaching a red and while trying to stop pedal went directly to floor and skid light went on and barely avoided what should be an easy stop!! weather clear felt a drag and no coasting ability. . . Car has 21,000 miles and is in perfect appearance but far from in peak condition as this car from brand new had issues I got tired waiting for Toyota to fix. Cruise control, brakes, bluetooth, engine wrapping sounds on startup, I am told the brake issue since new is now a 3,000+ repair and since it showed no code at dealer I would have to pay! merry xmas Toyota! what is NHTSA waiting for??? I am shocked at both for inaction so I will make some call to my elected officials this has to be fixed. Toyota is becoming gm who would have figured?? my other Prius issues matter less when brakes don't stop you reasonably and the repair is over 3,000 on a car with 21,000 well cared for miles. . .

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

2013 Prius, mileage 29,409. Car in motion driving on city streets. While breaking on uneven roads/potholes, the car skids and front wheels lock up and traction control/break assist light appears on the dashboard. When this occurs the car is dangerously slow to break and takes far too long to stop. This happens almost daily on my commute to work in both dry and wet conditions. This seems to be an issue with the breaking/stability system.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

Car began to display incoherent dash icon and alerts. We parked and had a tow service deliver our vehicle to town & country Toyota, south blvd, charlotte nc. There they told us it needed alternately a $1,500 repair, a $350 repair and finally a $100 repair, none of which the service salesman could describe or explain. When we mentioned the symptoms were identical to the "hybrid system/failsafe driving mode" recall notice he was evasive and said that we were too late for the recall. We didn't think it was possible to be too late for a safety recall, especially one that landed in the last week. After two (2) 20 minute waits on hold calling the Toyota customer experience center, we were told nothing of value, except we could choose to go back to the same dealer and ask for someone different, or we could go to a different dealership (I am not making this stuff up. . . !) we are at a loss; is this a safety concern or not? Toyota and the dealer do not act like it's very important to them. Is it possible for your enforcement powers to move this process towards a result that might entail additional safety. . ?.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

Car stalls out and won't accelerate.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

I noticed when I was driving on a dry clear day traction control/brake light/abs illuminated my brakes became extremely hard to press and come to a stop also my cruise control will not engage. The lights on the dash would go off and the car would drive normal for a few days. It repeated this scenario a few times before the traction control/brake light/abs lights stayed on permanently as well as the cruise control will not engage.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

When moving then braking, just before the car stops(in the last feet of dead stop) the brake pedal shakes and the tires feels like they are engaging and disengaging in brakes, associated with loud rubber noise rubbing(like un-lubricated actuator). This noise is also heard 2 minutes after switching the car off.

Electronic Stability Control problem #8

Although our vehicle is not identified for a recall the symptoms are exactly the same description as the NHTSA campaign number 14v053000. Dealer says everything is normal but we are concerned about driving the vehicle with the whole family which includes children. Concerned about Toyota not responding to our claims and the risk of collision as a possibility.

Electronic Stability Control problem #9

A recall was issued for the years 2010 through 2014, pending the development and distribution of a remedy. It has been four years and I feel that has allowed Toyota sufficient time to issue a remedy.
