Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2013 Toyota Prius. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while having an inspection performed on the vehicle at maplewood Toyota (2873 maplewood dr, maplewood, mn 55109, (651) 419-5144) the technician informed the contact that the spiral cable for the driver's side air bag failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,650.
Passenger side air bag does not work. It will not go back on.
