2006 Toyota scion. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle sudden acceleration. The consumer stated she was seriously and permanently injured when the vehicle suddenly accelerated. The consumer stated she was stopped at an exit to a parking lot, when the vehicle suddenly went out of control at full speed, crossing an avenue and striking a brick wall head-on. The consumer also hit a pedestrian, who sustained a broken knee. The consumer stated she is crippled for the rest of her life. She was taken to the hospital unconscious, with a broken right hip, broken right heel, concussion, cuts and bruises. A Toyota representative was unable to get any information from the black box as it was destroyed in the crash.
