Check Engine Light On Problems of Toyota Scion Xa

I own a 2006 Scion Xa. I have had to replace three of the electric window controls, and the emission system keeps having problems. Check engine light keeps going on. This happens when the vehicle is running, in motion and stationary.

The check engine light came on had canister replaced this is the second time it has come on and told the same part needs replacing it has been approx 5 years water keeps getting in the canister notified Toyota nothing they can do this is not cheep to replace.

Check engine light came on at about 50k miles. Dealer checked it out and the sensors indicated that the charcoal canister assembly was defective, along with the charcoal filter. Including parts and labor this repair coasted me $557. My car is only 3 yeas old!!! moreover, for the assembly part I was charged $327 whereas I found the part on-line for $230.

On may 28, 2005, while driving my 2004 Toyota prius, several warning lights appeared on the dashboard, and my wife and I decided to take it to a dealer (Toyota of dallas) immediately. Before we went much distance, the engine stalled and would not re-start. We called the dealer, who we asked to send a wrecker. This was done, and the car was taken to the dealer. The following appears on the dealer's work order: 10835 check engine light and other warning lights 801013 . 2 eg4017 . 8 1. 0 as per TSB ego47-04 reflashed ecu and cleared codes t1-8a - t2-99" the car seems to be in good working order. There was no injury to me, my wife, or anyone else.
