Bought new 2006 Toyota xb Feb 14 2006 may 10 steering column froze. . . . While making turn. Hit curb. . . Called Toyota they sent a national rep to dealership. . . The car was fixed $1000. 00 deductible and state farm was stuck with $6500. 00 Toyota said" car is running great" drove for 3 day's. . . Column froze again I was following behind my son, saw what was happening and drove my car in between traffic to block him from being hit. . . . It could have been really bad. They took the car back to the dealer. . . Now they want to replace the entire steering column. . . Sending another Toyota rep. . . Who can't get here for 2 weeks. . . . The car was only $17,000 to start with barely has 4,000 miles. . . When the tow truck driver came. . . He said a week ago he wouldn't have believed it was possible. . . Now he has heard this story before.
