Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Toyota Scion Xd. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 mph, the barring to the water pump fractured causing the drive belt to fracture. In addition, the engine stalled. The vehicle was not able to restart. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the water pump barring failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not provided. The approximate failure mileage was 116,000. Ak.
I don't know what went wrong but I was on the way back from work and for some reason as I began to try and break my car maneuvered in a strange way I hit a pothole and the car swerved into the wall. Now the model is having all sorts of recalls and issues. I have received three letters regarding safety hazards in my car.
