The contact stated that while attempting to utilize the controls on the side of the driver’s seat, there was a crack in the hard plastic and in the process the contact received a minor cut on the left hand. The contact stated that medical treatment was not needed. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact also stated that the same crack had appeared on the front passenger’s seat. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed because the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
The car seat platic keeps breaking and ripping. It has sharp edges. Dealer says its a know issue. Already replaced once and broke again.
