Six problems related to tire have been reported for the 1997 Toyota Tacoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driving vehicle and the tire separated causing damage to the rear of the vehicle.
While my tire size is not included in the current firestone recall, cracks are clearlly visible along the side of the tread of all four tires. I am very concerned. ( dot number: tire size: p225/75r15 ).
Tire completely came apart, same thing happened to a friend of mine with similiar truck. These tires should also be included in the current recall!( dot number: w2hy tire size: p215/70r14 ).
Original equipment, firestone wilderness ht tires p21570r14, dot wthyawa, Toyota takoma, extend cab 1997. Passenger's side front tire went flat when turning a corner. Due to the tire failure, the vehicle lost control, went into a ditch and hit a stump, the consumer sustained inuries because the airbag experienced no deployment.
