One problem related to front suspension lower ball joint has been reported for the 1998 Toyota Tacoma. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front suspension lower ball joint failed while in operation. Resulting in separation from the knuckle, causing a collapse in the suspension and loss of steering control while driving. The collapse happened in traffic and caused other damage to the vehicle including drive shaft and tire damage.
