Tl the contact's daughter owns a 2000 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that the check engine indicator was illuminated. As a result, the contact's friend was unable to tighten the sensor completely, which caused fumes to enter the cabin of the vehicle when driving. The contact called lou fusz Toyota (located at 10725 manchester rd, kirkwood, mo 63122, (314) 966-5404). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. 2 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2002

At speeds above 35 mph, and on DE-acceleration only, a loud squealing could be heard from the rear of the vehicle. It only made the noise on DE-acceleration. Had to bring to the dealer twice to get fixed. Dealer was stumped and only found a faulty oxygen sensor. That seemed to be the problem.
