While driving 65 mph, there was a vibration in the tires and the rear passenger side tire blew out. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and an eyewitness was able to install the spare tire. The vehicle was taken to sears auto (located at 693 stillwater Ave bangor, maine 0441) where it was confirmed that the entire sidewall failed due to a defect of the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware and informed the contact that the tire was exclusively manufactured for sears. The tire was not replaced. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 160,000 and the tire failure mileage was unknown. The dot number was not available.

He pulled over and noticed a blow out on the rear driver side tire and cracks on the sidewall. As of August 16, 2007, the dealer has not inspected the tire.
