In addition, the contact stated that while the vehicle was at a stop sign, the speedometer misread and stated that the speed was 80 mph. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle had not been diagnosed. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact stated that previously the failure had occurred, and the odometer was replaced by the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
