1 Engine Cooling System problem

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v767000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact stated that the recall was received for a vehicle that was never purchased and never owned, and requested to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the error.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 11/21/2025

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 25v767000 (engine and engine cooling) and 25v322000 (exterior lighting); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at 70 mph, the vehicle stalled. The message "engine stopped" was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road, and the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that there were metal shavings inside the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, four weeks after the engine was replaced, while driving 70 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that force was used to maneuver the steering wheel. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. There was an unknown message displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that an unknown cable was not attached when the engine was replaced. The dealer tested the battery, and the battery failed the test. The battery was replaced. The contact stated that the infotainment screen displayed the message "passenger side window open" while the passenger side window was closed. The contact stated that when the passenger’s side window was rolled up, the window independently rolled down a few inches. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.

3 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 03/14/2025

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 25v322000 (exterior lighting) and 25v767000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle stalled and was restarted. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that for the rest of the day while the vehicle was stopped and the accelerator was depressed, the vehicle jerked and failed to accelerate as intended and then stalled. The failure reoccurred approximately ten times the same day. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not inspected or diagnosed. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The contact stated that when the vehicle was taken to the dealer for maintenance, the contact informed the dealer of the issues. The vehicle was not inspected. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.

4 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2020

The contact received a recall on the 2024 Toyota Tundra; however, the contact did not own the vehicle. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v767000 (engine and engine cooling); and requested to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer and manufacturer were contacted.
