1 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2026

In the 2024 Tundra if there is a camera misalignment for the 360 degree cameras or reverse cameras. It sets off a code that makes the trailer brake say disconnected even when connected. I took the vehicle in and had the cameras recalibrated then the brake worked. On my last trip pulling a 4,000 lb trailer the cameras came out of alignment so my trailer brake stoped working mid trip. This is a safety issue that can cause a accident.

2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/19/2026

2024 Toyota Tundra 4x4 sr5 crewmax 6. 5, VIN: [xxx] , 28,500 miles. Three distinct, worsening vibration issues affecting separate systems: 1 — powertrain/driveline: significant vibration on initial acceleration, under tow load, and on inclines. Suspected driveshaft carrier bearing, u-joint, or engine main bearing failure. Recall 25v-767 (v35a engine bearing debris, 2022–2024 Tundra) — VIN recall status to be confirmed at [xxx] . Component available for inspection. 2 — highway vibration 40–70 mph: constant speed-dependent vibration in steering wheel, seat, and floor. Worsening and expanding in speed range over time. Impairs steering feedback — direct safety hazard at highway speed. Suspected wheel bearing or hub failure. No warning lamps present at any time. 3 — braking: violent vibration during heavy deceleration, downhill braking, and rapid stops. Severely impairs controlled stopping and risks loss of vehicle control. Consistent with rotor degradation per Toyota TSB (Nov. 2025, 2022–2026 Tundra). Repair history: oem tires replaced at 20,000 miles — abnormal camber-induced outside shoulder wear. Toyota issued a limited service campaign for this identical defect on 2022–2023 models but explicitly excluded 2024. All 4 tires replaced twice. Multiple alignments, balancings, and rotations performed at l&s Toyota, beckley, wv (3+ dealer visits) and an independent tire chain (3+ visits). No resolution. Defect is mechanical, not tire-related. No dtcs or warning lights at any visit. Safety risk: braking vibration risks loss of control on downgrades and emergency stops. Highway vibration impairs steering feedback over extended driving. Towing vibration creates trailer instability on public roads. Requesting NHTSA investigate and include 2024 Tundra in the existing limited service campaign covering this known defect on prior model years. 3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/09/2026

The engine lost complete power. This is a 2024 Toyota Tundra I=max force hybrid. The low oil pressure, hybrid malfunction, check engine lights all came on. I lost all power, steering, brakes, and had no hybrid assist. I was nearly hit from the back. I was able to get help from people to push it out the highway. There was no warning prior to this happening. I have read about all the engine problems from the 22 and 23 year models and recalls are out. There are no recalls for the hybrid 2024 engines, but this looks the same as what I am reading.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2026

The brakes squeal when reversing and sometimes when you’re driving forward coming to a stop. It has done this since the day I picked it up at the dealership. The dealership says there’s no remedy for it yet. The next thing is the front fog lights also draw moisture just like the rear reverse lights. Dealership says there’s no remedy for it or fix for it. I’ve had to have the radiator replaced twice in this vehicle and it only has 44,000 miles on it. The dealership says it’s a factory defect. Not sure if that’s true or not. It was not covered under warranty so I had to spend $200 to use my extended warranty. I do not think that is right it should’ve been covered under the manufacturers warning, especially if it was a manufacturer defect. The last but most important thing is the lag when you give it gas. This happens from a complete stop or also like if you’re trying to accelerate to get on the highway you can press it nice and slow and it won’t takeoff or you can mash on it all the way to the floor and it still takes a few seconds and then kind of vibrates and pops like it’s trying to skip gears before it takes off and goes. Dealership also says there’s nothing wrong with it. I believe it is a factory defect or some kind of wiring problem. The reason why I think it is a computer or wiring issue is that if you put the vehicle in sport mode, it will not do it coming from a complete stop. It does do it when you’re getting on the highway even in sport mode. I am on a few facebook forums and I see this problem where people report this problem all the time and ask how to fix it. I would like information on how to get Toyota to buy my vehicle back. These trucks have had so many issues with engine recalls, engine replacement, and other issues that are an actual safety concern and I do not feel like it is a safe vehicle to be traveling with my family. Thanks, [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2026

Parked on incline. Vehicle off. Vehicle automatically locked doors without operator intervention. Returned to vehicle. Vehicle beeped with associated lights flash when operator touched driver's extenal door handle. Immediately the vehicle began rolling backwards downhill towards oncoming traffic. I was able to hop on running board, jump into driver's seat, press brake and start vehicle. The brakes engaged and the vehicle stopped before hitting oncoming traffic. Dealer found code p15ad87. Battery state sensor (#28850-f4010) was replaced. Vehicle currently has 2,000 miles since repair on 01/23/26 without reoccurrence.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2025

I have taken my vehicle in more than 3 times, regarding braking issues, the vehicle would brake automatically even when there is nothing in front of it, the pre collision sensor comes on in rain when there is no debris in front of it. Vwhicle was having throttle lag when come to a complete stop at a light. Now the panoramic roof is leaking, took it to the dealer more than 3 rimes for some these issues, regarding the roof leak, they said they were unable to duplicate it, I have videos showing it was leaking & pictures of all the malfunction from the dashboard.

7 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2025

Brakes - when descending down a hill at speed the brakes on my truck pulsate as if the rotors are warped. My family was put at risk due to the brakes not functioning properly and causing me to let off the braking system in order to prevent overheating. I asked my dealer to review the brakes and they indicated nothing is wrong, I can reproduce this action anytime for the dealership with a simple ride up and down the mountain. This could result in a crash harming myself, my family, or other motorists. The problem began between 5k-10k miles and is getting worse. My truck currently has 16k miles. The brakes should last 40k-60k miles with no problem. Engine/fuel system - since new, my truck has never met the window sticker epa ratings listed. 22-23 models being recalled due to engine failure leads me to believe my engine is not performing at peak performance, thus, affecting fuel economy. I am afraid my model (built in 2023) is slowly experiencing the same main bearing failure as the 22-23 models suffered, having catastrophic results and was recalled to have a full engine replacement. My engine failing while driving could result in a crash harming myself, my family, or other motorists. I prefer not to wait for my engine to fail, given the fact that 22-23 models have all been recalled due to this manufacturing defect. Some, if not all 2024 models should also be recalled out of abundance of precaution.

8 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/03/2025

We are leasing a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The brakes are screeching when we reverse. We reported the issue to the Toyota dealership located on ih 35 , in san antonio, texas. We then called and made an appointment to repair the brakes more than a month ago. My husband went to the appointment. He was provided with a courtesy ride back home because the brakes would take most of the day. He no sooner got home and the courtesy taxi was coming back to pick up our Tundra, Toyota service told him that they did not have the brake parts to make the repair and they would call us when they received the parts to make the repair. It has been over a month and we have called several times and spoken to several service people and sales about the bad service. One of the service workers stated that they were waiting for parts and the parts were still not available. This is a very poor and unacceptable excuse. I want to return the Tundra and I want the down payment that I have given when I purchased this vehicle.

This truck has squeaky brakes. I have complained to the dealer and filed a complaint with the complaint department at the corporate office. They are aware of the situation. I keep being told it is a know issue and parts are not available to repair the situation. Because this is a brake issue I am very concerned about my safety as I drive this vehicle, please investigate this issue with Toyota and I believe a safety recall should be issued, in my many conversations with them I don. T feel they are concerned with this issue. I have been complaining and following up for over a year. I'm tired of complaining on deaf ears.
