Headlights, taillights, and dashlights all go off when using the turn signal. This has happened half a dozen times at night when the temperature is in the 30's, both when turning on narrow unlit rural roads, and on the interstate at 75mph when changing lanes. It is a common problem with the 1794 edition of the Tundra with the automatic headlights. 7 Turn Signal problem of the 2016 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 12/22/2019

On my 2016 Toyota Tundra 1794 edition, with headlights in "auto" position, when I use turn signal, the headlights, taillights and dash lights all occasionally turn off. Once turn signal shuts off, lights come back on . It typically happens at night when it's cold out. It has now happened probably half a dozen times in the last six months. While problem is intermittent, it's very scary, as I'm driving blind on a rural road until the light come back on. On the Tundras. Com owners website, this appears to be a common issue. 8 Turn Signal problem of the 2014 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 12/21/2019

My 2014 Toyota Tundra (1794) has been experiencing intermittent/periodic loss of front headlights (at night while driving),instrument lighting and radio and navigation simultaneous rebooting, when turning on the left turn signal. In most occasions, everything restores once left turn signal automatically stops once turn is competed. At times I have been able to reproduce immediately after occurrence but most of the time I am not able to. This creates an immediate safety hazard when driving at night in areas not well lit as you experience immediate loss of ability to see pedestrians, objects and road when entering and going through the turn. Upon taking it to the dealer (universal Toyota - san antonio, TX), they stated they tried unsuccessfully to replicate the problem and the unsafe vehicle was returned to me. The same evening it was returned to me, the problem occurred again which I was able to record. In looking at online forums, this appears to happen to many Toyota owners, all experiencing similar issues and all stating Toyota dealer was not able to replicate and returned the unsafe vehicle. In addition to the radio and navigation rebooting as described above, the radio and navigation also reboots randomly and because the dealer is unable to replicate when I take it in, nothing gets fixed (have video of that as well). I was told they needed to verify I had the latest update (which I did) and then was told they have experienced this issue with people with iphones. This is also a known problem on many online forums with the same resolution by Toyota - did nothing. Consumers should not have to compromise their safety (lights going out at night) nor should they wait until warranties are expired to then have to spend a lot of money to correct well known similar problems experienced by Toyota owners,.

9 Turn Signal problem of the 2017 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 12/12/2019

When the signal stalk is placed on auto and it is clearly dark outside the headlights will intermittently turn off when putting the left turn signal into place. The lights will come back on when the signal stalk is back in the neutral position. This has happened while in motion, stationary, and at different outside temperatures. However, I have noticed this occurs more when the temperature is in the 40's.

11 Turn Signal problem of the 2016 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 11/08/2019

When engaging turn signal, all lights extinguish momenatarily. This is an intermitten and happens at random, but not constant. The first time I noticed was early morning before sun rise I was in a turning lane at a red light stopped, engaged left turn signal and all lights went dark. The next time I was attempting to merge and engaged turn signal in traffic all lights went dark. I searched the internet forums to find this is a common occurence with Tundra platinum and 1794 models. My vehicle has no modifications and all lighting is factory installed.

14 Turn Signal problem of the 2019 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 10/01/2019

The #4157 incandescent turn signal bulbs on the front of the truck are far too dim and get drowned out by the led daytime running lights and led headlights. They are also too far back in the head light housing to be seen from the opposite side of the vehicle. These are the only front turn signals since there are none in the mirrors. All turn signal bulbs and brake light bulbs should be leds. Https://youtu. Be/huaotob6c_s.

18 Turn Signal problem of the 2010 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 07/30/2014

Body computer failed disabling the emergency flashers, turn signals, tach, speedometer, air bags, abs, stability control, and rendering the truck's controller area network (can-bus) network unusable for normal and emergency needs. Engine would run, transmission would shift, but the safety features of the Tundra appeared to be disabled along with the flashers, turn signals, tach, and speedometer which were inoperative. I live near houston and Toyota has this part on backorder nationwide indicating this failure may be common with this and maybe other Tundra trucks. When the body computer fails the truck is unsafe to drive yet it can be driven!.
