Water leaks and streams from along the top, driver’s side, just above the window where the felt meets and connects to the hard plastic structure labeled, “abs curtain airbag”, water, drips from the top ceiling just below the pull down mirror on the driver side. * see attached pictures I love my 2009 Venza. Please fix this problem for me. Thank you so much for any consideration given my request.

The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and opening and closing the front driver’s side door, the srs warning light illuminated and remained illuminated. The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Venza. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph the vehicle suddenly hydroplaned causing the driver to loose control of the steering and the vehicle crashed into a concrete median. The contact stated that during the crash the frontend of the vehicle was damaged but no air bags deployed. No injuries were reported. Police were called to the scene but no report was taken. The vehicle was later driven home. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact indicated that prior to the crash the maintenance light had remained illuminated. The failure mileage was 72,800.

~tl - the contact owns a 2009 Toyota Venza. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21tb01 (air bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called autonation Toyota hayward (24773 mission blvd, hayward, CA 94544) where it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Airbag sign on the dash board without no collusion. It comes off and on and the ignition coil b keeps coming up when scanned after fixing.

Failure Date: 08/19/2014

Our vehicle was struck at high speed by a person who ran a stop sign on a residential street. There was significant damage to almost every corner and side of the car. The car has been totaled. The driver was injured with pain and contusion in the neck, head, side, and elbows. No airbags were deployed. We have now learned that there was a recent recall for this specific matter. We never received any notice, in fact- we have since been to the dealer and no mention of the recall. The driver could have easily died in this accident.

9 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2013

Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Toyota Venza. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle independently veered off the roadway. The contact crashed into a tree and the vehicle went airborne. The driver was killed and the front passenger sustained severe injuries. None of the eight air bags in the vehicle deployed. In addition, the front passenger¿s seat belt buckle would not release open. A police report was filed of the incident. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a salvage facility. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000. Kmj.

10 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 03/07/2011

Toyota Venza's airbag wasn't deployed while an accident occurred with heavy damaged in the front of the vehicle. Also, driver seat belt wasn't function it right. It didn't pull the driver tight enough. Chest hit into the steering wheel with serious injury. Two safety device in this car fail to protect the driver.
