2 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2022

Driving local freeway, 65 degrees and sunny, light traffic. . . . Loud impact sound but no cars in our immediate vicinity, nothing in the roadway. Once stopped, examined car and found the large panoramic sunroof had spontaneously exploded. Sunroof cover was in place so no glass fell into passenger compartment, thankfully. Pictures available. No inspection by dealer or insurance. No prior indications of any issues. No weather extremes at the time. No impact from any external or internal object could be found. Remaining glass in sunroof bulges upwards slightly.

3 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/28/2022

When coming to a faster stop, vehicle stalls entire system shuts off. Happened before when driving. Lucklily was not in a place to wreck.

Failure Date: 05/12/2021

Panoramic roof leaking.

5 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2020

Water leak from panoramic sunroof when it rains. Side pillar posts. Have read several reviews including: shorted out the power window controls, owners had to dismantled moonroof on their own to add sealant or glue. This should be Toyota's responsibility as a factory issue. Dealers are not taking responsibility for it. Issue has been going on for about 2yrs but I just found out I could make complaint here. Please assist.

6 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2019

I am having sleepless nights and so are my neighbors and it is very annoying for my CO-workers and the maintenance personnel in our parking garage of 1000 plus cars, to have to deal with my Toyota Venza 2010's alarm system to keep going off even when no one has touched the panic button or alarm. There is no breeze, movement nor animals around my car and it goes off day and night. I have to constantly wake up and press my alarm off to get the car to stop. This is not normal. I am not sure how I could keep paying a car note on a car that does this and how this is my fault or that of any environmental factors. It is a mechanical issue and should become a recalled item that is fixed by Toyota. You folks need to get this recalled. I am not the only person complaining about this major inconvenience, I have seen 1000s of complaints on it. I have taken the car to the mechanic and they have been unable to fix it. They say its a manufacturer issue.

7 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/19/2019

Upon startup and in movement, warning dash lights come on. Indicating check engine and traction control, simultaneously and remain on. Return to authorized dealer, diagnostic complete. 02 sensor bank 1&2 corrected. Problem has returned.

8 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/12/2015

The sun visor I have three friends in new jersey and they also have the same problem.

9 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/07/2015

Window has shattered. As per those recently being shown on national television .

10 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/26/2015

I was pulling into a parking space very slowly. . . My foot was on the gas peddle very gently and all of a sudden the car accelerated at a fast speed. I hit the brick wall of a store and smashed the glass front door. Under no circumstances did I depress the gas peddle in excess to cause it to accelerate. As I was pulling into the spot the engine did start to make a revving up sound. The parking spot was only approximately 10 feet from front of building. I quickly applied the brakes before impact but did not stop. The impact of the car on the wall stopped the car. Thank god there were no injuries.

11 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2014

I was driving my vehicle to work with the sunroof closed and the sun visor open when suddenly I heard a loud bang, like a gunshot, and my sunroof shattered. It scared me and nearly caused me to run off the road; thankfully there were no other cars anywhere near me. I am certain it wasn't hit by a rock or something as there were no cars in front of me and also I wasn't near any overpasses. Upon research, this issue seems to be common with Toyota, so I contacted Toyota motor corporation through their customer service line. After a couple follow up calls, Toyota basically said it was not their problem and nothing they could do. I'm lucky this didn't cut me up or cause me to crash. Hopefully this doesn't keep happening.
