I was unable to stop my car by depressing my brake pedal as I approached a red light in tulsa oklahoma. I took the vehicle to a certified mechanic for a vehicle inspection and was informed that the master cylinder was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced.

2 Brake Master Cylinder problem

Failure Date: 11/11/2011

Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Toyota Venza. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the contact attempted to stop the vehicle but the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The contact stated that he had to pump the brake pedal in order for the vehicle to stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they advised the contact that the master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 330. Kmj.
