Failure Date: 06/01/2021

Head lights! dangerous. They have blind-spots due to equipment blocking full light vision. This is my 2nd report to you. I have not gotten a response. I think this should be looked into immediately. I don't care to drive at night because of this blind-spot. Yes, I have reported this to Toyota and they could not do anything about it because they it from the new type of light bulbs. Please review, research and respond. Thank you.

While driving at night with the headlights on, the drivers side low beam headlight intermittently goes out. Usually occurs in the "auto" setting but not always. Sometimes after stopping and turning off the engine and lights, the low beam will start working but not always. Next night the lights work as designed but may go out again. Happens in city and highway driving. . .

3 Headlights problem of the 2009 Toyota Venza

Failure Date: 09/14/2019

Poor low beam headlight illumination, which I determined is due to clouding of the interior surface of the lens in the low beam lamp socket. (not the exterior surface of greater headlight assembly) I've read some blogs and anecdotally this appears a recurring complaint with some Toyotas. It is not just an issue of improper headlight adjustment. This has been experienced for several years now. Recently noticed the newer models headlamp globes appear to be transparent, so finally decided to bring to your attention. Date below referring to date being reported. Not related to speed, but reporting 45 mph to complete entry reqts.

4 Headlights problem of the 2011 Toyota Venza

Failure Date: 03/14/2014

On 3/14/14 I noticed my low beam passenger side headlight was not functioning. I checked the fuses and found all were in proper order. I purchased a new light bulb and installed it. The headlight did not function. I tested the original passenger side bulb in the drivers side fixture and the bulb functioned properly. I took the vehicle to a Toyota dealer and after their inspection, they determined the computer light control had quit functioning. The part number on the box the replacement part came in computer, ballast, 85967-06020. Of my concerns the safety issue of someone trying to replace this bulb, as if they were replacing a standard bulb, is the possibility of serious injury due to the high voltage in this bulb. I was told the computer boosts the voltage and if the bulb fixture is touched while the lights are under power could result in death. I could have easily been hurt as the warning to avoid high voltage is not easily seen. It is not unlikely an owner trying to figure out why the bulb worked in one fixture and not the other would touch the fixture with the headlight turned on. I find it hard to believe a part in put into a vehicle to control a light bulb that doesn't last longer than the bulb. I recently heard Volkswagen was recalling over 15,000 vehicles due to a bad light fixture. The fixture fail when the hood was closed "roughly. " I open the hood to check and change the oil regularly and to add fluids. I do not drop the hood from great heights. I noticed there are a lot of places selling the part that went bad. The cost to have the part replaced by Toyota was nearly $500. 00.
