Exterior Lighting Problems of Toyota Yaris

I went to dealership on western 1/7/19 bought a new vehicle 2019 Toyota Yaris le the same day the vehicle stopped on me while in traffic on 33rd and king drive all the lights turned red and came even before leaving the dealership the engine light came on and the agent ignocio told me that �it's nothing it will go away�. The same thing happened 1/11/19 and 1/25/19 in traffic on lakeshore drive and the vehicle stopped while in drive mode and all lights came on again windows were stuck doors were not unlocking and the key was in the vehicle as well. I was scared for my life and could been killed that day. Toyota dealership is not doing anything about the issue I told them this is a manufacturer defect because there is no way a brand new vehicle will have engine light including all other lights on and stop on on its onw in traffic.

2011 Toyota Yaris. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle trunk lid problems. The consumer stated the trunk lid would come down on his head, when there was a slight breeze or when parked facing up a steep hill. The dealer informed the consumer, replacing the existing trunk springs would not remedy the problem. The dome light did not have a m ode to turn on, when the door was open and turn off when the door was closed. Also, the plastic molding on the driver's side bottom door came off and the rubber trunk seal came loose and several places.

Exterior and interior lighting on brand new Yaris randomly malfunction while driving. This has been an ongoing problem but Toyota can't find the source of the problem so nothing has been done about it.

All exterior and interior lights turn off on their own. They have done this twice. This is a brand new car that my 18 year old son bought. He drives to college and work and cannot be driving a vehicle that has lights that do not work in the dark. The dealership has looked at the car but cannot find the problem so they are asking us to come back and pick it up. I refuse to let anyone drive this vehicle until it is safe to drive. My son pulled over in each instance and turned the car off and back on and played with the light switch off and on and the lights did come back on. I seems to happen sporadically.

When driving at night, it appears that your standard head lights are lit; instead, the day runnings lights remain illuminated. When this occurs, the standard head lights and the rear lights are in the off position which nearly resulted in several collisions. The dealer inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the front head lights are extremely bright and there were no after market products available per the manufacturer to correct the failure.
