On my way home, a 70's truck hit my left side, the airbag came out blind me and made lost control of the vehicule. Is a miracle that im alive. Happened at pr132 km0. 4 guayanilla pr 00656.
I was in an accident going 55 mph in the process my car clipped a curb and it snapped my axel causing the car to go head on into an object across the road my car also flipped none of the airbags deployed.
With only 500 miles on it I had alignment issue with this brand new car Toyota Yaris 2019 which was purchased on Apr 2019. After I took my car to tustin Toyota dealership, they fixed the alignment for the first time I had the same issue I took my car there for the second time they said nothing wrong with it while I had document of alignment failed which im attaching it. I still have safety problem that is either related to steering, tier, suspension, beam torsion or anything else that cause my car feeling like drifting or sliding to right or left while driving around 60mph or above. Feels like driving on slippery snowy road. I cant have my car controlled even though by holding the steering very tight and its a huge road with so many trucks which can be so dangerous. I have passed 2 serious accident already and have a feeling this car with 185 inch tier is only designed for city or for speed below 60and thats how met Toyota safety and expectation as they confirming their safety and not providing any other help!!! very disappointed such a big company is re badging Mazda 2 and sell it under Toyota with safety issue. They need to get recall on these type of car if they think this car doesnt have any issue and the car is totally fine before some big lawsuit is taking place. I concern about my and other vehicle safety while driving and need to report this to take some action.
Driving down hwy 94. . . . With 4 children in the vehicle and there was a massive chunk of some type of hard debris. . . . The car thumped so hard and scared us all. !!!! we continued on to church at assumption in st paul afterwards we drove off to leave and felt the car flapping. . . We had to pull over in a turn lane downtown st paul got out and saw we had a flat tire. . . After a lot of work and time. . . Waiting and getting help when we got the tire off the rim was bent!!! the small spare tire was put on. . . I had to have the rim replaced which had to be put on order and the tire had to be replaced that was only 2 months ago that I got it!! I have pictures of the tire and rim. . They do not fit in the file here.
The car does not like the accelerate, when pushing the gas you have to put it all the way to the floor and it takes about 15 seconds to actually accelerate. At 40,000 miles the rear shocks went out, and the left rear tire wore down and is bulging.
Takata recall. Crashed my Yaris going approx. 30 mph. I broke a bone in my arm when it hit the steering wheel. The airbag didn't deploy and I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
I tried to stop + could not. If feel as if there are several recalls on this vehicle, one that does not meet highway standards, in which the dealership should have known about before selling to me on October 31, 2016. I had trouble getting my title from the dealership + had several issues with the vehicle + it was within the 30 day warranty period, + they told me every time that everything was ok, until I was in my accident + now have + am still dealing with several medical issues.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Yaris. While driving 5 mph, the steering wheel shook while making a turn. In addition, the front driver side wheel made a popping noise while turning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,532.
Hi, my name is karin szillus do to a car crashing into my Toyota Yaris my son was driving and some car crash into him. He got hurt airbags did not work at all when the accident was very fayal. Engine was on fire fire department had to take him out of the car unconscious and the wheels where twistes. Car was destroyed was unbelievable how the car was left. Car should be returned or taken of market. Its not safe car.
I was involved in a head on collision into a utility pole on a two lane roadway. I was found unconscious in my car. I have no recollection of the collision itself but no other car was found to be involved. The drivers side of the vehicle experienced the most damage. I had my seats belt on but not a single airbag in the entire vehicle deployed, despite the disabling damage that occurred to the vehicle. I have reached out to Toyota multiple times since the incident occurred yet about the concern of no airbags deploying yet was never notified that this was even an option to report the failure of the airbag to deploy in an accident, especially where the head on collision totaled the car. The pictures of the incident attached to this report were obtained by my father in the days following the accident and include the road of the accident and the car. The steering wheel is visibly deformed from the impact my body had on it during the crash. I fractured the c2 segment in my neck and to this day still suffer from complications from the concussion and injuries of this crash on a daily basis. I have been through neurologically testing and therapies related to the injuries. These injuries have impacted my life greatly and I feel as though my concern is being disregarded by Toyota. I strongly feel as though my injuries would not have been nearly as severe if the airbag deployed and I would really appreciate it if you could look into the case. I do have additional information and pictures if needed.
My car came to stop due to a car in front of me stopping suddenly my car did not touch the car in front. I had to brake quickly since car in front braked quickly. Car behind me hit me causing my car to hit the car in front. Car crashed into me in a approximate speed of 30 mph I protected my head from hitting steering wheel with my own strength holding on to steering wheel. I was injured from my leg and ribs. No on else was injured. # cars were involved, including mines. Why did my airbag did not deploy? my glasses went flying and got damaged. My rear end is totally damaged and front as well.
Noticed on 3. 22. 2015 tread is separating from all 4 original tires on my 2009 Toyota Yaris with only 12084 miles driven. Have not checked the spare. Goodyear eagle LS p 185/60r 15 84t. Dot 3krr2809.
I had accident on driver side front with other car. My front bumper, fender, hood, under hood, body frame every thing in front has been crushed. Insurance declared total my car. But no air bag did not deployed. Seatbelt also was not tight. I was injured due to heat on steering wheel and went to emergency. Still I have pain on my body. I found that Toyota recalled my car last may 2014 but they did not informed me. . . Updated 10/27/bf.
Was hit from behind by a pickup truck going 40mph while I was stopped at an intersection. I was 5 months pregnant at the time. I was propelled into oncoming traffic where my right side passenger side was hit by a sedan. No airbags deployed. Contacted Toyota who reviewed my accident photos, and they claim the frame was not damaged, so the airbags wouldn't have deployed, but I don't buy it. The back end, glass, bumper, etc, was destroyed and my passenger door was completely caved in. The car was totaled. I don't see any reason the airbags would not have deployed, especially since I was completely stopped and was hit very hard. I suffered major bruising to my arms and legs, neck and back pain, all requiring several days off work.
Tire pressure monitering system did not work at delivery, dealer has had many excuses not to repair. This should be a warrenty item.
Purchased 2008 Toyota Yaris sedan used in 7/09 for my daughter with 16,000 miles on it. She's at college so I drive it every other day to work which is only 10 miles. I began to notice a sound when I made a sharp right hand turn into a parking spot like the noise of an actual bar and also a rattle if I went over a small dip in the road. I was told it needed new tires on 10/12/12 @ 29,645 miles, I bought good, safe tires:goodyear eagle LS tires 185/60r15. On 5/10/13 I had her car serviced at Toyota: oil change, tires rotated, inspection of air filter, ball joints, etc. Afterwards, as I was driving my daughter and I up to my son's college graduation it was 80 degrees/sunny/clear roads. 52 miles into our trip I was in the slow lane following traffic at 65 mph. Watching the road, both hands on the steering wheel. All of a sudden the steering wheel jerked to the left and we began to go into a skid. I was avoiding other cars as I was trying to regain control of the Yaris. It was buckling under me each time I tried to carefully get us out of the skids. My foot was not on the brake but I had carefully pulled it off of the accelerator and I remember thinking why wasn't the car slowing down, it just kept skidding. After the 4th skid it went into a complete 180 degree spin with us slamming into the cement median. I slammed on the brakes as we went toward the wall. I have been driving for 35 yrs with no accidents and I have been in skids before, on icy roads & regained control. I do not know what caused the steering to malfunction. I have read about faulty bolts on the control arm. The auto repair shop did tell me they replaced the stabilizer bar. I have noticed since the repair the noise under the car is gone and the throttle no longer "screams" when I take my foot off the gas going downhills. We were not speeding, nor driving carelessly. This car does not have abs nor anti-spin brakes.
The abs brake sensor connector on the rear wheels hubs is not sealed and allows water and road salts to corrode the electrical connection, whitch causes the abs system to be deactivated. The vehicle still has brakes but no abs brakes. When I took the car into Toyota for diagnostics they siad that it has been a problem and that there was no perminate fix as of yet. They also said that it would be $600. 00 per wheel to fix the problem and that it could happen again the next winter. It seems to me that if Toyota knows about the problem they should be required to fix it.
2008 Toyota Yaris hatchback s recall is for the weight capacity sticker. April 11, 2009 my fiancee was driving the car with four other passengers including myself. The car ended up sliding sidewards at less than 10 mph and came to rest at an angle on the guard rail. The front passenger side bumper, outside door, back quarter panel and rims were scratched and dented. I believe that this incident was caused due to the weight capacity limit on the tire size, which was incorrectly labeled by Toyota.
I had bad experience with Toyota Yaris 2008. I was driving on interstate highway 264 east at 70miles/hr on cruise control. Suddenly the car started jumping left and right. I tried to control the steering but nothing happened. Another car was coming from my right side so in order to save that car I slightly turned the steering to left. My car started spinning and went off the road & after 3-4 spins I could finally stop the car. The dealer and service people could not find the reason for it. While my car was spinning my two tires got punctured and one rim broke. I am scared to drive this car. Toyota customer service also could not help me in this and all the expense[$ 500] has come on me only. Everybody is washing their hands off. Nobody knows what went wrong in the car.
The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Yaris. While driving approximately 70 mph on normal road conditions, the brakes failed to respond when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle failed to slow down and spun three to four times uncontrollably into the median. The driver stopped the vehicle and observed that the front and rear passenger side tires were flattened. The tire warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. There were no warnings or injuries and the vehicle was not damaged. The vehicle was towed to the authorized dealer for inspection and they stated that the front and rear passenger tires were punctured, which caused excessive air pressure leakage. In addition, the rims were damaged. The tires and rims were replaced; however, the technician was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The current and failure mileages were 5,000.
: the contact stated there was a grinding noise coming from the front driver side wheel while driving various speeds. The noise became worse when turns were made to either side. The vehicle was taken to a service dealer, however the dealer was unable to determine the problem. Updated 03/30/07.
