I have owned this vehicle for not even a year and bought it as a family car. It only has 24k miles. I have had consistent problems with it since the purchase. The vehicle has shut off six times while I've been driving. The first time I was stopped at a stop light when my car shut off. I took it in for service and vw said they couldn't "replicate the issue" so they wouldn't do anything. It has shut off five more times since then. A few of the incidents I wasn't even stopped at a stoplight but was breaking to slow down and the car shut off. My airbag warning also pops on and off all the time. It dings constantly. I took it in for service and they told me the item was being recalled and there is no fix. I now cannot have passengers in my family vehicle. I have now learned that the car has oil leaking onto the engine. This vehicle is in warranty, so at least I won't have to pay for it but it is the most unreliable car I have ever owned. I have a five year old Subaru that has not had a single problem. I do not feel safe driving my Atlas, and I do not feel safe putting my child in it. I need to get a new reliable vehicle but I have a loan on the Atlas. I feel stuck in a death trap. I will never buy a vw again.

The safety of myself and daughter at the time was very serious, but thankful, we came out with scratches and bruises. The problem has not been reproduce as I no longer have the truck. I sent an email (9/18/2024), to the dealer (heritage Volkswagen cantonsville, manger christopher meagher), and he has not replied. There were no warning lights on in my truck prior to the accident.

Passenger in front, light flashes on and off. Venice unable to be repaired at dealership. Dealership reporting they are recommending no front seat passenger in my vehicle. Repair unavailable since June 2024. The car is brand new and poses a serious safety risk to my family and I. We are unable to use the car for personal family use due to high safety risk to passengers.
Today, my Atlas gave an error message; air bag error. I called my dealership, who informed me that there is a recall in this. But not for my VIN number. But it’s the same issue. Now, I have to pay out of pocket or chance my air bag not working properly.

Airbag warning light appeared on the dash. I have called the dealership and they haven't offered any way to remedy the issue.
Waiting at a stoplight for light to turn green. Driver’s side door airbag deployed for no reason and the car shut down completely. Except for my hazard lights and a blinking message that read “error driver door contact switch”. Had to have it tow and the tow truck driver couldn’t even put in neutral.

I was driving today and an airbag error message popped up with the airbag warning lamp and will not turn off. I called the dealership I purchased it from and was told it is a faulty airbag sensor but my car is not part of the open recall Volkswagen has open. They set up an appointment for 8/20 to replace the sensor. I was told by the dealership that this issue could cause my airbag not to deploy if I were to get in a wreck. This information makes me very nervous to drive my vehicle but since this is my only vehicle I have no other choice.

This vehicle is part of the 69pz recall. The manufacturer has still not come up with a remedy for my vehicle. It has been close to four months, and I am not able to have anyone use the passenger seat because of this. The company is unwilling to offer any solutions. My passenger airbag light turns on and off and the check engine light is on and the dealership did not fix it.
Right now there is a recall for an incorrectly working airbag for my volkswagon and I have a lease that is up next month. They will not buy back my vehicle because of the recall and the fact that they have no fix. I have a family of 5 and need all 5 seats and now cannot drive my car with everyone without a giant safety risk. This is happening in concert with a faulty air conditioning unit in the vehicle that has been serviced more than 5 times in a 3 year period and is currently at the dealership to have the a/c unti fixed but now is not willing to negiotate because they know they cannot resell the vehicle.

The airbag light continuously goes off and makes a loud beeping noise and blinks an orange airbag light, I constantly have passengers in my front passenger seat. It is unsafe to be driving when it’s not sure that their airbag will deploy if in an accident.
This is regarding the passenger side airbag/sensor that needs recall in my 2021 vw Atlas. Is there still no planned fix for this? if so, why not? we are getting close to 6 months from the first notice and it is inconvenient to not have passengers be able to ride safely.

Pods airbag sensor has been recalled since 6/19/2024 without remedy. Sensor is not detecting passenger and will not deploy in the instance of a vehicle accident. Being advised to not ride in the passenger seat of family vehicle.
Recall opened in June still no fix. How long does the manufacturer have to come up with a solution?.
The pods system is still hasn't been repaired since the recall was announced in June. I was told a fix was coming in August, but to no avail. I haven't been able to have someone in the passenger seat of the car since the recall.
