Brake Grinding Noise Problems of Volkswagen Atlas

My brakes have locked up 4 or 5 times (since purchasing the car in April 2019) when exiting a parking lot with minimal slope to turn onto the street. The car makes a grinding noise and alerts beep. The car must be placed in park, then reverse to make the drive feature function again to get out of the middle of the street. The force of the braking, locks up the seat belts as well. Thankfully no one has been behind me to avoid rear end collision nor oncoming. I am nervous to pull out of a driveway now.

The dealer advised the contact that the maneuver braking system could be disengaged to stop the incline detection. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 1,500.
