Three problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2002 Volkswagen Beetle. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was in motion (about 25 mph) when a front end collision occurred which resulted in the passenger side airbag activating only. The driver side steering wheel airbag did not activate. Driver's face hit the steering wheel.
Passenger's side airbag deployed without hitting anything, causing consumer to hit another vehicle. Driver's side airbag did mnot deploy after hitting vehicle. Please add VIN.
Was driving 10 mph when another vehicle ran red light, the other vehicle hit the consumers vehicle on the drivers side, the drivers side air bag did not deploy resulting in inkury to the driver. Nlm.
