One problem related to carrier/rack has been reported for the 2007 Volkswagen Beetle. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
First the button to roll up the passenger window broke, then the button to lock the passenger door broke, then the seat fell apart for not reason and would not clip down, then the plasitc panels inside the door crack and are falling off.
