Two problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle would suddenly accelerate while driving, dealer notified and replaced the fuel pump, however problem still exists. Consumer states that the transmission fluid is low.
Vehicle would attempt to stall while driving. Dealer notified. Engine crackles; oil pan leak found; cruise control fixed then broke again, dealership couldn't find problem, engine still revving at slow speeds and at stops, also experiencing harsh downshifts.
