Two problems related to fuel pump have been reported for the 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle stopped running while driving. Towed to dealer. Dealer had to replace fuel pump. There was also a smell of fuel in the car. The vehicle has also had electrical defects.
Vehicle would suddenly accelerate while driving, dealer notified and replaced the fuel pump, however problem still exists. Consumer states that the transmission fluid is low.
