Two problems related to door have been reported for the 1999 Volkswagen Cabriolet. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Both side door mouldings adhesive failed. Reported to volkswagon and was advised that it happens a lot. They said they charge at least $100. 00 for repairs. This is a manufacturers defect that could be hazardous since failure occurs on the adhesive during driving and could injure someone.
Passenger's side windows go up and down intermittently. Vehicle locks without prior warning, and alarm systems are not operable.
