Nine problems related to electrical system have been reported for the 2009 Volkswagen CC. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle loss of power while in motion, engine stall and drained battery.
The epc light came on while driving. The car suddenly lost power, I kept having to take my foot off the gas, and then reapply, it eventually got up to a decent speed on the interstate, then suddenly lost all power regardless of what I did. Was almost hit by an 18 wheeler. This is the most dangerous and ridiculous thing to build a car that tells it to shut off when it first senses a problem. You guys almost cost me my life!!! this is the first vw I've ever owned and was told I would love it. Well, I've had it for 2 day's and I can tell you it won't stay around long if this continues to be a problem. Once I managed to get pulled over I shut the car off waited a min or so and restarted it. The light went off and the car drove like nothing ever happened. I have two small boys and this is a big concern for me. I've read post after post about this being an issue, there has to be something vw can figure out as to what is the main cause, and surely there should be a bypass to keep the car from just shutting off while driving.
I can only say that the car has many problems that I can lose my life and I do not have answers from the manufacturer, I only have to demand them.
The contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Cc. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle decelerated and then stalled. Also, the battery warning indicator illuminated. The contact had to push the vehicle into a parking lot. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 102,000.
Brake light wires in the truck are fraying because the wire coating is too stiff and frays when the truck is opened multiple times. This is a fire and safety issue. This is on my 2009 Volkswagen passat Cc. I do not see a recall on this.
I was in motion at speed over 60 on the highway and lost control of my vehicle. The only reason I didn't crash was because there was no traffic. It suddenly slows down and stops. No control in gas pedal. I took my car to the cerritos dearlership and was told my car was out of warranty. I took it to another dealer to fix and it was over $2000. It was fuel pump control module. My daughter had the same car and issue but she traded her car for another brand.
The epc and engine lights keep coming on even after I have the vehicle serviced. In one instance, as I was driving on the highway to the vw dealership, the car began to slow down and would not accelerate. Traffic was sparse, so I was able to safely get to the shoulder of the highway. At the vw dealership, I had 3 of the coils and 4 spark plugs replaced. On the same day that I had them replaced the epc and the engine lights came back on, there was a message on the information console stating that the engine should be serviced, and the car powered off. The car was stationary in my driveway at the time.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Cc. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart after unknown attempts. The contact mentioned that the failure occurred on two occasions. The vehicle was taken to vacaville Volkswagen (21 orange dr, vacaville, CA 95687) where it was diagnosed that unknown parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact stated that there was a loss of power while driving various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer, but was not diagnosed due to the cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact experienced another failure where the steering wheel seized while driving. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or repaired for the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline) and 16v078000 (air bags). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacturer did not offer further assistance. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available and parts distribution disconnect.
There have been several problems with this car. The electrical power to the fuel pump has been feeling as though it is shutting off. When I first got the car, it stalled twice on me, while I was driving on a public road. The tires have balded or warn quickly. Engine leaks oil often. The fuel not getting to the pump has been overwhelmingly often.
