One problem related to engine shut off without warning has been reported for the 2009 Volkswagen CC. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was driving and my 2009 vw Cc 2. 0 and my engine started shacking and shut down with no warning, try to start nothing. I towed it to a local vw dealship(chapman ) I got a call the next morning stating my engine timing chain tensional was bad and I might need an engine, but for them to verify if engine is unrepairable I will need 620+tax. I called vw headquarters and spoke with someone who told me that there was no TSB or recall on my vehicle so it was nothing they could do for me . So I started serching online and there is 100 of post and informing on this. I will try calling vw back mybe someone else will help me.
