15 problems related to equipment have been reported for the 2010 Volkswagen CC. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was serviced at 180k by vw dealership; a premium service was selected; engine light came on as I was taking it in; the vehicle previously did turn off while on the highway on its own which then needed to be restarted. The car jerked as if my spark plugs were having issues. Have had to change spark plugs frequently compared to normal wear and tear. I was told it was the air/cam sensor (as a recommendation from the dealership) the car had been running sluggish but normal prior to it getting serviced. The car was ready for pick up and engine light was cleared. Car was driven about 35mi from dealership to place of residence. Car performed normal. Next day went to turn on the vehicle and it would not start. It did start long enough that I could use my own code reader the vehicle had 15 errors according to the reader. I let the car sit for a month before I could tow it to the dealership where it was serviced. Vw is now saying they don't know what is wrong with the vehicle. Camshaft is what they are looking at . Another possibility vw explains is massive engine failure.
Mechatronic unit vehicle in motion on city street driving approximately 40 mph seemed as though car dropped gear, automatically dropped to 10mph, tried to accelerate, but engine revved and wouldn't increase speed. Check engine light appeared and d (for drive) began flashing on screen, pulled over, shut car off and waited. Was able to restart and drive 2blicks to dealership with d light still flashing. Dealership recreated issue and diagnosed the mechatronic unit which had previously been recalled on other dsg transmissions in the past. (2007-2009) was told my car was manufactured June of 2009, but that model hadn't been recalled. This could have killed me if I was on the interstate driving faster. I am concerned for others safety if the car can just stall out while in motion. Car has 112,000 miles, but the transmission only has 80k.
I just recently bought my very 1st. Used 2010 Volkswagen Cc. After I bought it, I realized that the master window switch on the drivers side doesn't work. The car is showing only 45,000 miles on it. So I would have to reach over to the passenger side door, to get the window to roll up. Also, my heater isn't working. I hear the fan running at different speeds, but only coolair coming out. On top of that, the fabric on the headliner is coming down. I found out that in order to replace the headliner, you have to get the front windshield removed to get the headliner out. Ridiculous! car manufacturers have been around for many years. Car have got faster and safer throughout the years, but the headliners still fall down. It's not acceptable! use better adhesive, better material. Take more pride in your product.
The car seem have a problem in revers when I use in backwards I can feel in the shift (hold 4 seconds to work and make a jump after) and when I was driving in 35mph the car was frozen .
Car wouldn't go over 40. Having hard time going and notice leak under the front of the car. Took to the dealer said I need a new water pump. Idk if that was the car would go over 40 and have hard time driving. I was driving city street. Having to stop for red liights.
Tires constantly suffer from cupping.
I have a 2010 Volkswagen Cc sport with a little more than 91872 miles on it. I was accelerating on the highway and my vehicle began to sputter. The epc light and the check engine warning light came one. My vehicle has had sluggish acceleration since then. I have noticed that this problem has occurred with several Volkswagen owners. There seems to be several different options when it comes to repairing this problem. The only thing that seems to be common is that it occurred when accelerating. The other thing that I have noticed is that this problem is not specific to one vehicle in the Volkswagen line up. This is definitely a manufacturers safety defect in their system that needs to be corrected before it causes an accident. I am aware of NHTSA recall number17v509 (manufacturer recall number20ae). This recall is for the fuel pump module which could result in a no start condition or a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion. The epc warning light has the same safety risk as this recall. This could result in a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Timing chain tensioner stretched timing chain. Check engine light onparked. 3 class action suits against vw for fraud knowing this issue was present when vehicle was sold.
Hello, I bought this car 2 months ago , mileage 89000 . Problem with a gearbox dsg, on the website I got this ; Volkswagen has announced a program to help owners of vw and Audi vehicles equipped with the company’s dual-clutch dsg transmissions. After a flurry of complaints to the NHTSA, vw will replace components inside the transmission. Issues apparently stemmed from faulty temperature sensors that would force the dsg boxes into neutral, often while owners were driving. Vw will replace the components and offer loaner cars during the repairs. Owners who have already paid out-of-pocket for the fix will be reimbursed. The company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. But when I talk to vw dealer brooklyn thay told me goodbye, you have recall from airbag. And we dont care about your dsg problem although it was said the company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. 1. Takata recall 2. Dsg transmission, delay, jerks on the rear gear. Mechatronic always overheat. When turning on the rear gear it does not turn on very large engine rmp and then quckly turns on, I find it very dangerous, because I do not know if the rear gear is turned on at all Volkswagen recently initiated a recall on 2009-10 vws and audis equipped with its high-performance direct shift gearbox (dsg) transmissions. Vw said it would repair or replace the components in the transmissions at no charge to the vehicles’ owners. And vw will reimburse customers who have already repaired the transmission on their own. But dealer vw USA sad this is not true / only some recall dsg can get free repaired.
I both my 2010 vw Cc in 2017 and a year ago and I'm heaving jerking or bucking during stop and go or a delay in power when stepping on gas pedal. It's gotten to the point that I really hate stop and go traffic; I feel like I'm driving an old car with issues at the mechanization unit or at the automatic transmission. I knew it's about an issues at the mechatronic unit valve. It bucks and shakes like it's about to stall. I'm finding myself reluctant about having passengers in the car because of sheer embarrassment. It is also very problematic for maneuvering and parking the car because it can be dangerous and even cause accidents. It happens mainly in stop and go when parking/traffic. How serious does the problem need to be fixed in order for the dealership to replace the unit as a recall? best regards.
There's already a recall for this vehicle but vokswagen told me that my vehicle specifically it's not showing any recalls. Volkswagen refuses to admit that my vehicle has this problem. Please help.
Takata recall. Steering wheel still clicking. And engine light on for emission issue, which goes on only when turning and eventually goes back off.
Car would not start but battery was good. Issue seems to be localized to the transmission as it eventually started after messing around with the shift lever. After starting I was unable to shift out of park and I think this is a sensor locking the shiftier.
As I began to accelerate, the car started jerking and there was hesitation in acceleration. Additionally, the car failed to reverse when put in gear.
I bought the car on the 1-13-14, I had to take it back I told them I was having airbag, water leak in car, break scrub, they told me everything was ok. I told them it is not they did not fix anything. I had to pay for everything out of my pocket. I need the top inside done now they told me it will be about $2000. 00 & up. I pay $400. 00 a month for a car I am not please with.
